HARVESTING MAPLE SYRUP: A TEAM EFFORT

If there is one time of the year when our company’s motto «From the tree to your table» takes on its full meaning, it is in spring.

During the «sugar season», maple syrup producers are out in the field tapping their trees and collecting the syrup that will then be sent to us for preparation and bottling so that it can reach the tables of consumers around the world.

However, there are steps in this process that are less familiar to the public.

TRADITION AND BUSINESS

There was a time when the maple syrup industry revolved mainly around maple syrup producers whose contributions were based on a history of family tradition.

We have known these families for several generations, some since the beginning of the 19th century.

«Les Industries Bernard & Fils» was born and grew with these maple syrup producers and those who followed.

In the last 25 years, companies have been added whose family roots do not come from this field, but which have the same objective of contributing to the development of the industry.

As a result, many maple syrup «SMEs» have been created and play an important role in the production of maple syrup.

AN APPROACH FOCUSED ON THE REALITY OF THE PRODUCER

We are proud to say that our experience and «know-how» allow us to work as a team with all the producers who call on our services.

The expertise and knowledge of our employees are valued by all our producers, regardless of whether they produce 1 barrel or 1,000 barrels per year.

Our approach is based on the fact that we recognize the importance of each of them in the maple syrup market.
We are there for them at every stage of their production process.

The services we provide to producers range from technical support, advice, and recommendations in the field as well as in administration.

THE FINAL WORD TO MOTHER NATURE

The only issue we have no control over is the weather.

Our expertise and knowledge have no impact on what «MOTHER NATURE» offers us in terms of temperature.

However, we can well imagine that «SHE» has a crush on our product since in the last 10 years the average yield of maple groves is on the rise.
