BERNARD & FILS INDUSTRIES NOMINATED FOR AN ALIZÉ AWARD
Our nomination for the « Alizé Award of the Year 2021 » in the « Large Company » category reflects on our entire team and gives us a sense of pride.
The « Alizés Awards » are presented annually to Canadian agri-food companies for the excellence of their work while distinguishing themselves on the international markets.
The evaluation criteria included: increasing worldwide sales, developing new markets, international outreach, innovation within the company and adapting to the pandemic.
Here is how we were able to meet these 5 criteria.
A SPILE THAT POURS AROUND THE GLOBE
In 2020, our international sales increased by over 30%!
This unprecedented increase can be explained by the development of new markets, which is part of our international sales approach initiated several years ago. More recently, we have introduced our product to populations for whom maple syrup was not part of their agri-food environment.
In recent years, we have added Qatar, the Arab Emirates and Kuwait to our list of clients, in addition to countries in Africa and South America.
The objective is not to limit ourselves to selling our product on the world stage, but to associate ourselves with partners who know their local market well.
A NATURAL SYMBOL THAT STICKS TO OUR SKIN
Our efforts to promote our company and our products internationally take different forms.
The quality of our employees’ work and our products are recognized by our customers around the world. This « business card » is a major marketing tool, for us, of which our clients are the vehicle.
This daily recognition allows us to reinforce and increase our presence in some forty countries in addition to attracting the attention of several others.
In addition, we also benefited from a recent posting on « Instagram » seen by millions of people, worldwide, mainly in the United States. This photo of one of our products in the hand of Kourtney Kardashian is certainly worth several advertising campaigns.
We are willing to use all modern methods of communication to spread the word about our company, but we have taken a more conservative approach to our product development.
While we are developing flavored syrups in various essences for our customers, an innovation within our company, our primary goal remains to offer the « sweet nectar » in its natural state.
THE PANDEMIC CHALLENGE
Our company, like many others, is facing many obstacles created by the « Covid-19 ».
The challenges are numerous, and our entire team has responded quickly making it easier for us to adapt to the pandemic.
The list of obstacles includes health restrictions, supply, market uncertainty and the impact of absenteeism among our staff.
The hard work of our employees and the planning of our supplier network has allowed us to overcome these difficulties and still allow us, today, to continue our development.
In conclusion, we are honored to be a finalist for an « Alizé Prize » and thank all those involved in organizing this acknowledgment.
