Chicken breasts with maple syrup

Ingredients (6 portions)

  • 3 Tbsp. unsalted butter
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 6 chicken breasts
  • 3 Tbsp. white parts of leeks, finely sliced
  • 1/2 cup pure maple syrup or organic syrup
  • 1/2 cup chicken bouillon
  • 3 Tbsp. 35% cream

Steps

  1. Melt butter over low heat.
  2. Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper, cook them lightly in butter about 6 minutes on each side. Keep chicken breasts warm.
  3. Cook the sliced leeks lightly in the same pan. Add maple syrup or organic syrup and chicken bouillon. Boil down by half.
  4. Add fresh cream. Check seasoning.
  5. Arrange chicken breasts on serving platter and cover generously with sauce.
